CNN.com 2004 - Veepstakes. You have to admit, it’s a pretty cool idea.
I think we need to expand upon the whole bracket thing. I mean, why aren’t there more bracket games out there? It seems like it’s either this, March Madness, or the Carleton campus-wide ping pong tournament. I was never one for the NCAA bracket anyway. Veepstakes takes the cool world of bracket gambling and adapts it for geeks like me. Now if only I could find some people to start a pool…
In more important news (and of no relevance to you whatsoever, since this is mostly a reminder for me), I still need to find a place to stay for the DFL state convention in Duluth. It looks right now like I’m going to be wining and dining with Congressmen, then sleeping out on the street. It’s no matter, I’m sure Mark Dayton will understand if I’m a little rumpled looking at his party. Besides, with the weather as it is in Duluth, I’m sure I’ll have no problem thawing out my frozen appendages and feeling my legs again in time for a hard day of writing the party platform and wearing enormous political buttons.
In the meantime, I’m just gonna cross my fingers and hope that Gonzaga… er, ___*insert political candidate here*___ finally makes it to the Final Four.
