Remember that angry letter to the editor of the Ithaca Journal I wrote back in October after the first debate? I criticized two area Democrats for telling the Journal that Kerry had “missed an opportunity to gain favor with voters.” Among other things, I said that “their remarks smack of the most repugnant type of liberal elitism,” and accused them of “pretending falsely that John Kerry is our party’s sacrificial lamb.” It was not a nice letter.
I stand by my remarks. But the Journal never published them, probably because of just how critical they were. I just gave up on letting my criticisms be known.
But last night I was looking at my site hit statistics, and I see a referral for someone who was searching for Nathan Shinagawa, one of the Democrats in the article. Looks like someone was Googling himself.
I guess he got what he deserved, for being both wrong and egotistical. (Side note: everyone Googles him/herself, myself included).
Then again, given the election, maybe he was right…
