Back in town

Dude.

I am on Lindy overload. Words cannot describe how incredible, exciting, insane, refreshing and fun this weekend was. Lindy Gras was an amazing exchange.

And now I’m back to the grindstone. I have so much make up work to do this evening it’s ridiculous. I’ve already conceded that it’s not all going to happen, but I’m hopeful that I can at least get a good chunk of it done tonight.

I have more stories to tell than I can possibly fit on this blog. Or than I have time to write. One of the best things about Lindy exchanges is that you meet tons of people, and nearly every one of them has some story worth telling. Maybe in the next few days I’ll stick some more on here.

Then again, pictures are never a complete account either. I took far more than I usually do, but I still didn’t get pictures from many of the events, from going around the city, from Bourbon Street, or lots of other places. I may fill in with some pictures from my friend Johanna as well if she lets me, which will help. But even then, no picture can capture the sounds or the energy.

But I will never be satisfied with my documentary abilities, so I should just give up and show you the pictures. Enjoy.

    Ah well, I guess at events like this…so many wimmenz, so little time. Lets not forget the twenty minute long commentary on…. relationship maintenance. That was quite… educational, to state eufamistically…

    Lindy Gras kicked ass. Whether you’re a dancer or not, you should go to New Orleans. That city is amazing… :)

    I just discovered your website! It’s wonderful. I hope you don’t mind, I swiped a cpl of your photos to use for a poster to get some of the kids here at school interested in swing dancing. *grins* (not all of them *wink)

    I must admit that I’m a little disappointed that you didn’t get any photos of us dancing in there, but eh, next time perhaps.

    I hope you’re doing well in school and your swing club is coming a long well.
