Tuesday morning, my friend Ross and I will be heading off on a trip of epic proportions. The destination: California.

Nearly every thing else remains unplanned. We plan to hit San Diego, wine country, maybe a few other places. But really, that’s not the point. The point is to get out on the road and see where it takes us. And also not to run out of money. And also to get back before classes start.

Shouldn’t be too hard, right?

My little Nissan Sentra is running strong and ready for some touring action. Nevermind that at highway speeds it feels something like driving a tin can; with our jalopy, some camping gear, and enough money for gas, we’re heading West. Look out Joads, we’re coming at you with the full force of 115 horsepower.
Right now, the rough sketch plan is to go the Southern route first, heading to San Diego. Then we go North, seeing whatever we decide to see, and finally drive back on a more Northern path.

Unfortunately, however, I have no idea how much Internet access we’ll have on the road. If I can get it set up in time, my plan is to keep things current by blogging with PhoneBlogz.  Expect to hear all kinds of great stories.

I love having a little adventure in my life.
