Ah, money. The great unequalizer. The great unattainable. The great pain in the neck.
After adding up our costs and our finances, Ross and I have decided that we’re going to be cutting it close. Probably really close, in fact. Close enough that we had to make up a contingency plan in case we run out. It involves coming back to the Midwest early, and staying at his place in Wisconsin for a few days.
But we never let money get in the way of our dreams, so we’re taking off tomorrow morning. A last-minute final exam of his pushed us back a day, but now we’re both a little more rested and a lot more prepared. This afternoon we laid out something of a plan, and now the plan is to hit the road right after breakfast. We figure we can make it to Denver by tomorrow night, or maybe Cheyenne, depending on which way we decide to go. In any case, we’ve got a lot of long, boring Great Plains driving ahead of us tomorrow.
Time to go do my laundry.
